Who is your favorite game show host of all time?
In other news, Aaron had me almost convinced my house was haunted last night and the air conditioning stopped working. My dad got the fan working pretty well, so if I shut all the vents in the unused adjacent rooms and keep my door shut, I can pretend I'm in Florida instead of sub-Saharan Africa.
Right now I'm listening to beautiful music and scanning my computer for viruses. I found out the other day that my student laptop initiative software bundle includes proprietary antivirus software so why not use it? Even though it's slightly annoying to hear the fan running so much but that just might be my MacBook's response to the heat.
I'm really excited for this weekend. Samia is turning 18 on Saturday (and Faithe is turning 18 tomorrow!) so we're going to get a matching tattoo. Wow, cliched? But no.. it's something we've been thinking about for a long time and I think it's going to be beautiful. Getting it with her is going to be super fun, and it actually gives me an excuse to get this done. I still can't 100% decide on where I want it positioned, though, but I'll discuss that with Samia. Also, Charles is spending the night with me on Friday, and there is talk of Jorge planning a movie date for a bunch of friends on that same day. Exciting exciting exciting.
Guess it's too late for me to go back to sleep, huh? Oh well.
I didn't sleep very well, as per the past three nights or so. I wake up at about 5am and keep waking up every hour or so until I finally decide to pull myself out of bed. Last night, Chuck slept with me, and he had to wake up at 8:45 to go over to Wake so that didn't help. I wish we could have cuddled longer. :( It's still arctic in my house, and my blankets are in the wash due to human error so we had to huddle for warmth. Now I'm wearing his jacket and I'm under some baby blanket.
Here is some beautiful music to start your day off with while I procrastinate more and more with leaving the house to get food for my kitties.
Kearstin and I are going to see The (new) X-Files movie tonight and I am pumped. Here is an article about how much of a badass feminist idol Scully is.
Today has been nice for the most part, considering I had Chipotle for lunch and got to see some of the sky as the sun was rising. The dew on the cast-iron lawn chair I was sitting on was simultaneously chilling and refreshing. Last night my tummy was hurting really bad.. Aaron wanted to get some Chinese buffet food and after one plate I was so done. But I ate more anyway because Chuck was paying for me and I didn't want to waste his money. (No, I'm not blaming you!) Either way, later, I had some bad indigestion. But I'm feeling a lot better now! Chipotle heals all!
The past few days have been slightly more interesting than the usual summer fare, which is good. Today I'm planning on playing some Pokemon Red as usual. I rented Super Paper Mario for the Wii, but it's just not catching my fancy. It's not RPG-styled (as far as I can tell) like the other ones and that's what I loved in the first place.
You know, I just noticed that I haven't crossed off any days on my calendar since July 8th. I am very behind.. and I think that's why I've been having such a hard time figuring out what day it is.
Wow, I have this extreme urge to eat foods chock full of carbohydrates and play Pokemon, red version. My tongue is burned from this huge cup of coffee I drank too fast yesterday. It's not my fault I bought some delicious "gourmet Italian" coffee that keeps so well in the refrigerator. Yesterday morning, I sat with Kearstin and had some strange urge to pick up my DS and play Pokemon. It was amazing. Right now, I'm in Saffron City finally getting Team Rocket to leave so I can fight Sabrina. I'll probably play it, later.
In the real world, I'm watching this marathon of SVU episodes that lasts until 10pm. Yesterday was Aaron's birthday party and we had a good time. It was really nice spending time with everyone, and I'm so glad the red velvet cake turned out well. Today we went to Biscuitville and it was delicious. Nyssa and Samia left at about noon and then Aaron and I took a nap for a few hours. He just left to go out to eat with his mama, and I feel kinda bad about making her come get him.
My dad is coming home Saturday evening. I would say I'm going to have to overhaul tomorrow and clean everything, but it's actually not that dirty. I want everything to look nice for him, though, so that he won't have to deal with a messy house when he gets back. Whee responsibility!

Hmm, am I being lazy (bored) and feeling lethargic because I'm tired or am I tired because I have nothing to do?
It's time to leave this place (it's time to get ready to rock.)
In other news, I haven't been doing much of anything lately except hanging out at home and watching television. Charles is coming to stay with me starting tomorrow after he gets off work, which is so exciting. He better start taking care of me, considering I do what feels like the majority of his laundry! Pfft! ;)
Also, oh, how could I have forgotten! I got an email about an hour ago asking if a non-profit (based in Norfolk, Virginia) human rights group could use my photo in some invitation for a coffee discussion. All my photos are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share and Share Alike (what a mouthfull!) so they didn't even have to ask me as long as they credited me for the picture. That was really nice! I am way excited.
In honor of Independence Day, show us something patriotic.
I only wish I could find my "deport illegal immigrants shirt" for Friday. (The joke is that a Native American is holding a protest sign with the previous quote.)
In other news, I don't have anything to say except I'm excited about red velvet cake on the 16th and going grocery shopping tomorrow? Today, I guess.
Also, my Chucklet coming home. I have a small present for him yay.
Summer has been nice, mostly consisting of getting coffee at Krankies and spending late nights watching/playing video games. Also, missing my boyfriend while he does responsible stuff like work and pay attention to his family.
Speaking of family, my dad is leaving this Saturday and spending two consecutive weeks in Dubai and Copenhagen for business marketing. No, partying every night is not on the schedule.. but Aaron and I might hook up my ps2 to my dad's TV and lounge on his extremely squishy foam-mattress bed. We could probably do that while he's home, though, so that's not all that exciting.
Oh, this wasn't a meaningful update, either.
In other news, Math the Band is awesome. So is going out to get sushi with Kearstin so peace!
