I'm laying belly-down on my bed, waiting for Erin to come back over here after her piano lesson. It'll be done with soon, but she's going to pick up some Chinese food for us afterwords so I may have a small wait ahead of me. We've already been out and about a lot today and I bought some body butter from The Body Shop. I was just there yesterday procuring some of my favorite face wash ever, but I had to get some new lotion. Chuck covered me in the last bit of the stuff I was using (same store, different scent in a sample size) this morning, so I had to get a replacement. The new cream I got is strawberry-scented and it reminds me of a delicious ice cream or dessert. Usually I'm not too into strawberry stuff but this is just delicious; it's almost like cotton candy.

In other news, I haven't been doing much of anything lately except hanging out at home and watching television. Charles is coming to stay with me starting tomorrow after he gets off work, which is so exciting. He better start taking care of me, considering I do what feels like the majority of his laundry! Pfft! ;)

Also, oh, how could I have forgotten! I got an email about an hour ago asking if a non-profit (based in Norfolk, Virginia) human rights group could use my photo in some invitation for a coffee discussion. All my photos are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share and Share Alike (what a mouthfull!) so they didn't even have to ask me as long as they credited me for the picture. That was really nice! I am way excited.

My camera came in the mail yesterday and I am addicted. The second two photos (from the left) are just me messing with some different settings, speeds, et cetera. The first two are from a trip I took last night to the hookah bar in Winston. The atmosphere was really interesting (there were actual Indian people running the place with seemingly authentic music!) and provided a good chance for me to try out a long exposure time on the camera. I find the smoke in the first picture just so beautiful! It's not awesome when it's being blown in your face, but it is awesome on (digital?) film.

I created a Flickr account and I encourage anyone else who is interested in taking lots of pictures to do so too! And then add me as a contact! Really, it's not so much snobbery as image love. You don't have to have a brand new digital SLR graduation present to get views.. a lot of people post awesome stuff from their phones. Also, I'm going to be posting most of my stuff there! :)

Anyway, other than that, I miss Chuck a lot and got a free tie-dye t-shirt. Yay!
