It smells pretty good in my room right now. I'm waiting for this Arm & Hammer carpet powder to work its magic or whatever it's supposed to sit on the carpet for fifteen minutes for. After that, I vacuum it up. I didn't think they actually made this stuff anymore! I thought sprays and febreezes replaced it.

Anyway, today in orchestra erzo totally got in Jorge's bass case. It all started because he has this wheel thing that you put in the end pin so you can wheel the bass around, and Erin and I said it smelled like dish soap. So when he left the room (we were practicing in a small ensemble away from the class) we went looking for it to smell it again. We didn't find it, but his case was totally the origin of the unique soapy smell.

I don't know how that ended up with her inside the case, but in this picture you can see my rosin-y cello and blinding white knee. Yes!

Tomorrow, Byron and I are hanging out at my house and working on AP Lit projects. He's got a band concert at like seven, so I'll probably go to that with Samia and we'll hang out with Chuck later. Anyway, I'll probably go to Krankies tomorrow morning to have my weekly knitfest. I have two projects that I'm working on and it's just too exciting.

So, I would say, "nothing has been going on", but for once it actually has. At school, the first quarter of the year ended this Friday, so that means all was madness in anticipation of this three day weekend. I took a picture of a locker outside the orchestra room which seems to have an unusual amount of locks on it. Also: Samia's chin.

I'm pretty happy about this three day weekend. I have a lot of work to finish for my AP Lit class, and it's not going to get done by itself. I'm in no hurry, however.

I also have a new kitten, named Romulus (even though it's a girl) thanks to my bff Scott. She's really cute and well-behaved and litter trained and playful and I love her. Everyone else does too, except for my other cat. :0

Plus I miss my boyfriend a lot. We were not-quite-arguing (maybe it was more of a general angsting?) earlier but I love him.

Now it's time to go back to bed. It's way too early to be doing anything on a Sunday.

Before starting to type this up, I realized that I might be starting a teeth-brushing obsession. I was waiting for my audio to upload, and thought "it would be a good idea to brush my teeth right now." Before I purchased a container of Tom's of Maine's all-natural, all-delicious toothpaste I never really liked brushing my teeth. I mean, I felt obligated to by the constrains of society, but I never did it more than I had to. But lately I've been brushing my teeth in the morning, when I get home from school, before bed, and whenever my teeth feel slightly unclean. I honestly think it's because the taste of the paste isn't overwhelming and sugary.

Anyway, today was silly Awards Day at school, and everyone went out cavorting around. I felt obligated to go to Mr. Walker's class, and I felt I would seem almost too cliche and uninspired to skip on a designated skipping day. Everyone knows I'm not a junior marshall or a senior anyway, so that would further exacerbate the feeling of lameness. I did sleep in until around 11:30, though.

Friday's an orchestra concert. I was planning on going, but since everyone has to be a productive member of society and have a job, I don't know if I'll go because I don't really feel like driving or going alone. I am, however, accepting backup-friend applications at this time.
